Judges have an important responsibility in guiding members of the public,
exhibitors and other members of the cat fancy in their educational development
by displaying their knowledge of cats and their standards. Therefore, judges
should possess the following attributes:

social and emotional maturity
-
integrity
-
breadth and depth of learning in their chosen field
-
understanding cat management and the human experience.
Requirements of a C.F.C.C.Q. Inc. Judge

Judges shall hold membership with C.F.C.C.Q. Inc.

Judges must belong to one C.F.C.C.Q. Inc.-affiliated club but may belong to
specialist clubs affiliated with another controlling body.

Judges shall register all their stock with C.F.C.C.Q. Inc.

Judges must always present themselves and their cats at shows and cat-related
functions in an exemplary manner.

C.F.C.C.Q. Inc. Judges are to be completely unbiased in their judging

Judges shall endeavour to promote relationships that will contribute positively
to the cat fancy.

Judges should possess a manner that promotes educating about, listening to and
advising on cat-related matters.

Judges shall make themselves available to any exhibitor or member of the public
to provide information on breeds of cats, including constructive criticism of
exhibits.

Judges shall strive to achieve standards of professional conduct and display
attitudes that will create mutual respect towards their colleagues and others.
This may include providing constructive feedback to one another as judges.

Judges shall not solicit judging assignments

Judges may not cancel appointments to take up other appointments after a
contract has been signed.

Judges should be aware of the requirements of C.F.C.C.Q. Inc. and inviting
clubs when accepting appointments if there is a time rule in place, noting that
such rules are developed to ensure variety of judges of exhibitors. (The
current position is that judges may judge at alternate C.F.C.C.Q. Inc. shows.)

Judges shall notify the Honorary Secretary of C.F.C.C.Q. Inc.'s Judges
Association of all appointments accepted.

C.F.C.C.Q. Inc. judges may only judge at a show operated under a recognised
body in Australia, i.e. bodies affiliated with either ACF or CCC of A.

Judges may only judge at overseas shows conducted by recognised bodies. Judges
should check with the CCCA of A Secretary if they are unsure of the status of
overseas bodies.

Judges shall not judge any exhibit that has been domiciled with them during a
period of three months prior to a show.

When exhibiting at show at which they are also judging, judges should bench
their own cats with discretion.
Dress standards for judges
Would all judges please remember that they represent CFCCQ Inc. and exhibitors
do expect a certain standard of dress.
Smart, comfortable and semi-business style would perhaps suit most judges.
However, do feel free to "dress up" for the occasion if you wish.
Suggestions for appropriate dress for females and males officiating as judges
include those outlined below.
Women

Trousers, dress jeans, long shorts, skirts with shirt

Appropriate dresses

Suitable footwear (i.e. presentable and comfortable for standing)

Clothing that does not have club or other inappropriate logos or any
identifying marks relating to own breeds, etc.
